STEM education partners and programs
investing in tomorrow's workforce
Take a closer look at our STEM partnerships and programs in the United States.
National Academy of Engineering
With Chevron’s support, the National Academy of Engineering launched a new website, www.linkengineering.org, that helps pre–K–12 educators in the United States implement engineering education. LinkEngineering provides the first-ever platform for K–12 teachers and informal educators to learn and work as a community toward the goal of improving U.S. precollege engineering education.
The Fab Foundation
Chevron partners with The Fab Foundation to bring fabrication labs (Fab Labs) to areas where we operate. Fab Labs feature hands-on activities with laser cutters, machinery, and precision parts. Fab Labs are located in Bakersfield, Richmond, and Santa Clara, California; Pittsburgh and Grindstone, Pennsylvania; New Orleans, Louisiana; Odessa, Texas and Washington, D.C.
STEM partners and programs
Project Lead the Way offers students and educators world-class curricula and teacher training to help kids obtain the in-demand, transferable skills they need in order to excel. Chevron is proud to partner with Project Lead the Way to help provide access to engineering computer science curricula to over 300,000 students across the United States.
The mission of Techbridge Girls is to inspire girls to discover a passion for STEM through hands-on learning. They make circuits, design buildings, work with mentors and much more through Techbridge Girls' extracurricular programs and family resources. Chevron is proud to support Techbridge Girls to empower the next generation of female innovators and leaders.
Chevron partners with organizations to expand opportunities for makers to imagine, design and create. We’re proud to support the Maker Movement, a global effort to empower students and adults to create, innovate, tinker and make their ideas into reality.
